West Park Place Elementary invites all families, educators, and community members to join us for a joyful and connection-filled Virtual ParentCamp on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, during National Family Engagement Week!
ParentCamp is a place where everyone has a voice and the room is the expert. Participants choose the conversation that matters most to them and join open dialogue circles designed to spark connection, deepen understanding, and build trust across family–school–community lines.
This month’s four ParentCamp circles include:
- Building Peaceful Problem Solvers – facilitated by Tina Jezyk and Matthew Hamilton of Children and Families First
- Walking the Special Education Path Together – facilitated by Alexis Walker, Christina School District
- New Halls, New Friends, New Adventures! – Next Stop Middle School! – facilitated by Bob Jefferson and Sydney Brown, both of Christina School District
- Beyond the Classroom – Sharing Our Kids’ Extracurricular Activities – facilitated by YF Lou, Christina School District Board Member
As one WPP participant shared, “It was very helpful to share feelings, ask questions, and listen to other parents.” Another reflected, “People came together with open hearts, building a network of understanding and compassion.”
This is the magic of ParentCamp—meeting universal human needs such as belonging, support, understanding, ease, and connection, just as beautifully expressed in WPP’s word cloud.
Just a quick note: only West Park Place families are eligible for the prize drawings, but the conversations and community are open to all. 💙
