Thomas Edison Charter School ParentCamp

There’s something powerful that happens when families, educators, and community members come together—not for presentations, but for real conversations. That’s exactly what you’ll experience at Thomas Edison Charter School’s ParentCamp on Thursday, April 23, 2026.

ParentCamp is designed to bring people together in a welcoming, relaxed environment where every voice matters. There’s no stage, no speakers—just meaningful dialogue centered around what matters most: our kids.

What to Expect

From the moment you walk in, you’ll feel it—connection. Enjoy a free meal while meeting other families and educators who care deeply about supporting students. Then, jump into conversation sessions where you can share ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another.

Conversation Topics Include:

  • My Child, My Why: Sharing Our Hopes and Dreams

  • Building Money Skills, Creating Big Ideas

  • Let’s Talk Reading: Helping Kids Find Joy and Confidence in Reading

  • Math Matters: Finding Math in Everyday Places

Each session is guided by a Facilitator of Connection, helping create a space where everyone feels comfortable participating—whether you want to listen, share, or both.

Fun for the Whole Family

While adults are engaged in conversation, kids will have a blast in Kids Club, filled with games, crafts, and activities designed just for them.

And of course… it wouldn’t be ParentCamp without a little fun competition! Don’t miss the always popular Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament—a crowd favorite with prizes for participants.

Building Community Together

ParentCamp is more than an event—it’s part of a growing movement to strengthen Family-School-Community partnerships. When we come together, listen to one another, and build relationships, we create stronger support systems for all students.

A special thank you to the Delaware Department of Education for supporting this work and helping bring ParentCamp to communities across Delaware.

If you’re able, donations to support future ParentCamps—such as meals and prizes—are always appreciated. No donation is too small, and every contribution helps us continue creating these meaningful experiences for families.

We hope to see you there—because when families and schools connect, great things happen.
